Create/change operator

Required qualifications:

  • The role Account or Superadmin to create operator.
  • Superadmin to change operator.

Important:

  • The number must have the same MEX connection in the app as with the new operator.
  • Always check if the operator has unique setup requirements before switching.

1. Add new operator

Step 1 – Log in as Superadmin

  • Open the app or log in via the browser.

Step 2 – Open Organization Settings

  • Click on gear icon at the bottom of the menu on the left.

Step 3 – Go to carrier settings

  • Select Telephony system and then Operator settings.

Step 4 – Create new operator

  • Click on Set up new connected operator.
  • Select the new operator and enter the activation time (must match when the numbers go live).

Step 5 – Check and save

  • If the new operator has unique settings (e.g. Telenor's Pilot user ID), fill in these before saving.

2. Operator-specific settings (example)

  • Telenor:
    • Select Special MEX info and fill in Pilot user ID.
    • Please note that Pilot user ID and P-Preferred-Identity is the same thing.
  • Three:
    • Add the special Billing ID mobile number under mobile number
    • This number must be added to all response groups, IVRs and independent numbers.

3. Change operator on number

Step 1 – Select the old operator

  • Go to Operator settings and click on the operator you want to switch from.

Step 2 – Change operator on number

  • Click on a number below Linked numbers.
  • Change to the new operator and click Save.
  • If all numbers are to be moved, you can choose Change operator, all numbers.

Step 3 – Repeat the process

  • Do the same for all numbers until no linked numbers remain on the old operator.
