Share a file using drag and drop (computer only)
Step 1 – Open the folder
- Open the folder where the file you want to share is located.
Step 2 – Drag the file
- Drag the file and drop it into the chat or channel in the app.
Step 3 – Send
- Write a message if you want.
- Press Enter or click Send.
Please note: Drag and drop does not work from mobile phones.
Share a file via the file menu option
On computer
Step 1 – Open the chat
- Go to the chat where you want to share the file.
Step 2 – Add file
- Select the option to attach a file.
- Locate and select the file.
Step 3 – Send
- The file is added to the chat.
- Type a message if you want and press Enter or click Send.
On mobile
Step 1 – Open the chat
- Go to the chat where you want to share the file.
Step 2 – Add file
- Select the option to attach a file.
- Locate and select the file.
Step 3 – Send
- The file is added to the chat.
- Write a message if you want and press Send.
Share files from Dropbox
On computer
Step 1 – Open the chat
- Go to the chat where you want to share the file.
Step 2 – Select Dropbox
- Click the option to add content.
- Select Dropbox.
Step 3 – Send
- Select the file you want to share.
- Press Enter or click Send.
On mobile
Step 1 – Open the chat
- Go to the chat where you want to share the file.
Step 2 – Select Dropbox
- Tap the option to add content.
- Select Dropbox.
Step 3 – Send
- Select the file you want to share.
- Press Send.

On computer
Step 1 – Open the chat or channel.
Step 2 – Open the three-dot menu.
Step 3 – Select Shared Files.
Step 4 – Browse to preview or download the file.
On mobile
Step 1 – Open the chat or channel.
Step 2 – Open the three-dot menu.
Step 3 – Select Shared Files.
