Create a web widget

Create and configure web widgets with chat, callback, and email for your website.

Step 1 – Open widget settings

  • Click on gear icon at the bottom of the left menu to open the organization settings.
  • Select Contact Center and then Web widget.
  • Click on Create new widget.

Step 2 – Configure the widget

Note: You need to have purchased a credit package to activate widgets and their features.

  1. Activate the widget if you want it to be visible directly on the website.
  1. Enter the domain and subdomain where the widget should be placed (e.g. https://acme.inc/).
  1. Give the widget a name, for example Customer Care.
  1. Choose the color of the widget.
  1. Select the icon to display on the website.
  1. Set language.
  1. Connect the widget to an existing web chat (or do this later).
  1. Enter a phone number if you want to display the callback function (requires that the response group has this enabled).
  1. Add an email address to display in the widget.
  1. Click on Create to save and activate.

Step 3 – Add the widget to the website

  • Open the widget you just created.
  • Click on Preview to see the appearance and make any adjustments.
  • During Add to website copy the embed code.
  • Paste the code into the location on your website where you want the widget icon to appear.

Additional information

  • The callback feature is an add-on that can be purchased separately.
